In order to give us the highest quality picture, we will have to black out the windows in the DNDC. We will do this using a roll of Kraft paper and painter's tape. This has been successfully used in other venues and it should work here. We will need a few extra folks to help get the windows blacked out. If you can come in at 12N to help we would appreciate it!
On Sunday, March 17, 2019, we will be meeting for a demonstration and discussion of high-end video at the DNDC. The meeting will be from 2-5 PM.

Al Davis, now a consultant to the video industry guests will be Jeff Pavia, Epson's National Sales Trainer and Charlie Boornazian, Epson's National Sales Manager for the United States.

Al will be bringing the latest high output laser Epson projector (known as the "flamethrower") and a Blu-Ray player.

The club will provide a two channel audio system consisting of the club's two-ways and tubed amplification.

This meeting is about video... not a surround-sound spectacular! While the audio quality will be high, it will not be multi-channel. The idea is to provide as much information as possible on the purchase, set-up, and enjoyment of high quality video equipment!

Al and the gang will get us up to speed on all the latest technology and home theater trends. Of special interest is High Dynamic Range(HDR); differences between HDR technology as it pertains to flat screens and projectors. Calibrating the picture/sound of your new toy (flat screen OR projector) once it's brought home can be tricky. Al, Jeff, and Charlie will  take some of the mystery out of the process with tips and tricks to give you the best picture and sound.

Al is also offering to help club members with room treatment improvement on your current or future 2-channel  or Home Theatre room. Just sketch out your room and email it to Al.

This is going to be a good, fun  show.

Update... 3/11/2019 Just learned that we'll have two Epson projectors!

Home Cinema LS100 Full HD 3LCD Ultra Short-throw Laser Projector

and
Pro Cinema LS1050mance0 3LCD Reflective Laser Projector with 4K Enhancement and HDR
