Dive into three iconic LP's that were released a few months apart. Pet Sounds in May, Blonde on Blonde in June, and Revolver in August.
All three released at the peak of their popularity. Strangely, Pet and Blonde received tepid sales initially. Only Revolver got typical sales numbers. The back story to their creation took months of work beginning in fall of 1965 and is a fascinating read for us nerdy types.
Just a tease of what I have already uncovered. Plan to dig up tasty audio/video clips to enhance the story.
If someone in the club has a vinyl copy of Blonde on Blonde and could bring to the meeting it would be helpful and appreciated.
